Who We Are
J. Tyson & Associates was started by JoAnn Tyson, RN, MS in 1993. The company was incorporated in Q1 1994 and started as a consulting firm. The original deliverable for JTA was pharmaceutical trial management services. Since we opened our doors as a full service Clinical Research Organization (CRO) we have completed work on trials which have spanned the globe and include drug, device, drug/device combination, vaccine/device combination, IVD and biologic. Over the years, our primary deliverable has evolved from strict pharmaceutical (prostate, urology, oncology, transplantation and cardiovascular) to device cardiovascular and orthopedic, men/women's health in IVD and biologic first-in-man trials (phase I through IV trials). JTA has assisted successful IND/IDE applications as well as NDA/PMA/ 510(k) reports/submissions.
We are known as a "niche" provider for implantable device. We have assisted many startup companies to get their one product off the ground. We offer consistency with sound advice, good work ethic, expert employee base and a strong understanding and implementation of the applicable regulations to our client base. We also offer a working ability in group dynamics coupled with a tried and true strategy plan for each work effort to help ensure success in time as well as service and product.
JTA is an employee based operation and our team members have years of work history in a strong clinical indication prior to taking on the clinical research role at JTA. Our total years of hands on clinical and or Quality Assurance experience is greater than 175 man/woman years across many disciplines. In addition, our combined experience in the drug/device research and development is greater than 75 years. Our group can bring many different real world experiences to the table to assist our clients to avoid pitfalls (common and not so common) and avoid delays.
The relative power of a company can be measured via the structure, talent, skill and ability to sell and promote philosophies for expediting products through the research and development processes. The additional power boost is evident when the R and D process can complete within a controlled budget and in perfect compliance with applicable regulations. Acute success in this industry is the ability to meet deliverables in a tight structure of proven procedures.
